About Me

Who I am

I’m Swayam, a third-year Data Science student based in Mumbai. Academically speaking, you’ll find me trying to decipher (successfully used some 'Heavy English' 😎😏) my own code or figuring out how to actually put my degree to use in the real world.

When I finally force myself to step away from the laptop, I’m usually out for a jog or a walk, getting a calisthenics workout in (who needs a gym, anyway?), or playing video games with a good playlist on repeat. I'm also a highly social person who loves getting out, meeting new people, and making friends. And on race weekends? You'll find me glued to the screen watching F1, hoping for a Max Verstappen masterclass.

Live Metrics & Context

If you're new here, this is a real-time snapshot of my current projects, habits, and obsessions as I build my path into Data Science and Quant Finance.

Day 06 / 100
Wrestling Python into submission

Currently fighting for my life against Angela Yu's bootcamp and wondering why my loops won't loop.

6 Projects Built
From logic scripts to text games

Moving past tutorials by actually building functional Python command-line tools.

4 Weeks Logged
Autobiographying my chaotic life

Weekly proof that I am somehow surviving college, coding bootcamps, and watching Red Bull force Max to drive an absolute tractor all at once.

1 App Concept
Solving the 'Guidance Gap'

Researching and designing a peer-to-peer skill shadowing platform for self-taught learners because trying to learn skills online alone is absolute suffering.

∞ Chai Cups
Late-night debugging fuel

The essential non-technical dependency required to make code compile successfully.

109 F1 Points
Manifesting a comeback

Dying a little inside every race weekend while watching Max drag a tractor around, praying for Red Bull to somehow fix their strategy.

What I'm working on

  • The 100 Days of Code: Wrestling with Angela Yu's Python bootcamp and documenting the survival process.
  • Core Problem-Solving: Writing scripts and logic games to test what I's actually learning.
  • Data Science Tools: Slowly transitioning into the heavy-duty stuff like NumPy, Pandas, and Jupyter to actually put my degree to use.

Goals

Short-term: Go from a Python beginner to having job-ready data science skills over the next 12–18 months, while building a portfolio of projects that actually do something cool.

Long-term: I want to bridge the gap between data analysis and the financial markets. Ultimately, I've got my sights set on breaking into Quantitative Finance—but let's get my current code working first.
